ESCALA REDUZIDA (ENG)

Escala reduzida [Scaled back] is a video that was made in the middle of the pandemic. It shows a substantial part of the choreographic and vocal material of a performance created by Sofia Dias & Vítor Roriz and offers us a viewpoint from within the creative process.

Sofia Dias (London, 1983) & Vítor Roriz (Porto, 1980)
are two artists who have worked together since 2006. The hybrid nature of their research together with their curiosity
and need to experiment have led them to create various pieces, performances, videos, podcasts and installations.

With a strong connection to cinema and music, Joana Linda (Lisbon, 1980) directed the short films Layla and Lancelot (DocLisboa'16) and Em cada Lar Perfeito um Coração Desfeito (IndieLisboa'13). She also directed R&J, an adaptation of the play Romeo and Juliet with an entirely female cast (Temps d'Images, 2014). She has collaborated with several directors and musicians in the communication of their works. She has also participated in several solo and group photography exhibitions.
